Double Standards Abound- Super Bowl Half Time Entertainment- #metoo vs #watchme

Monica is no prude. But the recent Superbowl halftime show starring Shakira and J Lo has her wondering just what were the producers thinking? Sure, the choreography was fantastic for the ultimate family broadcast of the year. Until you got to the crotch shots, leg spreading, writhing on a pole, kids in cages, how are you going to explain this to your children, daughters who might say, “Mommy, that’s what I want to be?” And what was that sound Shakira made? (It actually has a name.)

Everything has it’s time and place — why this wasn’t it for this.

I solidly agree! It was nasty and vulgar! I am no prude either, but acting like thisis in not prime time material at all!

  • well said Sister – in the ‘Me Too’ era this is idiotic, set the image of Super Bowl half time up against the sadness of the Harvey Weinstein trial occurring at the same time
